  By Aje Pelser   Marc Chagall lived through two world wars, survived persecution as a Jew, was exiled and experienced the Bolshevik revolution with his wife and daughter. While meditating on the visions I have seen of angels ministering to people in our church, I wondered how to visually capture the images. I was drawn to a book on Chagall. Studying art history has opened up the story behind the works, and revealed the context of the artist’s life.   Abundance for Every Good Work A good news message for your provision and abundant living in Christ. By Apostle Aje Pelser   Trigger Verse Here is the key verse of Scripture that triggered my fresh understanding of abundance: 2Co 9:8  "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work." The concept of abundance can be confusing. If you think in terms of abundance, that it has storehouses full of everything all the time, it will frustrate you when that is not the case. If you shift your understanding of abundance towards the enabling force of abundance to do every good work God has called you to do, then it is a liberating concept.  Once in a Blue Moon When the moon is closest to the earth in orbit, it is called a perigee, and the moon therefore appears thirty percent larger than usual. The Christian calendar depends on the phases of the moon to determine Easter or the Paschal Moon, as well as the Lenten moon. In our unique South African context, load shedding coincided with the most wonderful view of our moon on the evening of the 31st of August. Our section of the city had a blackout and thus the moon became the best entertainment on a winter’s night. We went outside and gazed up. Apparently, Saturn was also very close to the moon, although you needed a telescope to see it. A clever astronomer who had the camera lenses and telescopic attachments, managed to snap a photo of the event. Why is it blue?
