The Word is a Person

Please allow me to share a few minutes of your time to speak about the identifications of the Word of God. The secret of understanding God’s Will for your life is to realize that the Word of God is a Person, the Lord Jesus Christ. John wrote about the Word:

John 1:1-4  “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.”

In Hebrews we read that the worlds were framed by the Word of God.

The sad thing about the Word of God initially was that He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, yet the world did not know Him. This is still evident today as people discover more of God’s wonders in Creation without glorifying the Creator of the marvels we enjoy and learn to protect from generation to generation.

We can identify with the Word of God because He was sent to experience life as we know it, Jesus – the Word became flesh – He put on an earth suit! He dwelt amongst us and we saw His glory – full of grace and truth. Although many did not receive His light at first, the Good News is that many others started to see that if they received the Word of God, Jesus Christ the Person, He gave them the right to become children of God – to those who believe in His name. Yes the Word of God is all encompassing and creative; it has the force to change a life, and the compassion to heal the sick and broken-hearted. If we believe that God has raised Jesus form the death of the cross, and confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, we will be saved, for God answers those who call on His name.

The Word was at the beginning when it all started. It was revealed to the fathers of faith throughout the Old Testament and manifested on earth in the life of Jesus Christ. It was tempted and tested in all ways as we are, yet found blameless and without sin. The Word of God was sent and it healed all our infirmities. The Word released captives from oppression, addiction and sins. The Word was shared with multitudes and the Word grew in the lives of Jesus’ disciples. They received His word and waited for the Holy Spirit Who gave them power to share the Word with all nations and suffer for their witness. That Seed of the Word was incorruptible and grew through the Roman Empire into Christendom and wasn’t lost even though church structures made the Word inaccessible in Latin to the masses. God stimulated the reformers to share the Word with common folk again and the Word grew into the enlightenment and the reawakening of the Church in the era of revivalist preachers like the Wesleys and George Whitefield and more. The Azuza street revivals reminded us of the power of the Holy Spirit and many others allowed the Spirit of God to bring the Word to our remembrance into the 20^th century where an unsurpassed growth of the Church eclipsed any other religion globally. The Healing evangelists explored God’s power after the crippling World Wars and restored people’s faith in God. The faith teachers brought the Word back into church meetings with Bible Colleges proliferating regions. Missions mushroomed and new church movements were born. The gifts of the Spirit brought about a practical understanding and implementation of the Word in liturgical services and people became aware that God could use them to reach the world again. The prophetic movement restored direction to the church and prepared the way for the restoration of apostles in the church who would once again emphasize the Word of God as the centre of all doctrine and Church activity – Jesus is being restored as the Head of every Church versus human empires built around personalities. At this point we are seeing God move mightily around the world. We care for 127 churches in network Harvester international Ministries’ network globally. There are 30 more churches in Indonesia alone that seek covering and we need to send apostles and prophets to establish Bible Colleges in each of the 110 countries that Apostle Andre and Prophet Nola Pelser have reached over the last 35 years of ministry. We have 16 Miracle Bible College Satellites in different regions across denominational lines with many pending plants in the next year. Our Bible Course is being translated into French, Spanish, Tamil, Afrikaans and soon Mandarin will follow. My appeal is to see the great Harvest of the Word of God in our time and to support Miracle Bible College to equip more Missionaries to not only save souls, but make disciples of Jesus Christ - the Word of God in every nation, tribe and tongue. The Second Annual MBC Cup of Missions will allow us to train another 10 Missionaries full time that will be able to plant new MBC satellites wherever they are sent!
